ERIKS Acquires Sodeco Armaturen GmbH
Alkmaar, Netherlands May 25, 2011 - ERIKS announces the acquisition of Sodeco Armaturen GmbH, a subsidiary of the Sodeco Group, a Belgium company.
The acquisition was carried out by the ERIKS Core Competence Center for fittings and actuators in Germany – AMG Pesch GmbH in Cologne – which was also acquired by ERIKS at the beginning of 2011.
AMG Pesch GmbH is expanding its German supply and delivery offerings with this acquisition of Sodeco. As a result, AMG Pesch will become an authorized distribution partner of the JC (ball valves) and TTV (butterfly valves) brands in Germany. This acquisition serves to further increase the wide-ranging know-how, many years of experience, a mature and extensive product range and the latest in the field of valve technology. Combined with a well-stocked depot makes AMG Pesch one of Germany's leading providers in this industry.
The activities of AMG Pesch comprise the construction, design, manufacture, marketing and sale of high-quality actuators, special fittings, standard fittings and assemblies in the fields of valve and flow technology. The company's customers are original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and end users, particularly in the chemicals, energy, pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering, food technology and pump and plant construction market segments. This acquisition represents a continuation of ERIKS Germany's strategy of consistently strengthening and expanding its market position in the area of valve and flow technology.
